Fashion Designer Elena Massari is into the "silent movies", and she did translate this feeling into her collection. I have to say that recently I was watching several Hercule Poirot movies myself and the beauty of the costumes was an inspiration for my fall/winter looks. So Elena dresses are perfect for me!

Laesse ceramiche
I am really happy to introduce to you my last discovery!
LAESSE is a ceramic atelier based in Oderzo (Treviso), they produce lovely products for the table. I like the simple shapes and the soft colours, they are beautiful objects for the everyday use. The catalogue is under the art direction of designer Stafania Vazzoler. I am really glad to see that italian designers are into small, well crafted and limited series.

Julene Harrison
In the last two years I did see the art of papercutting becoming a real trend. If I had time I would love to try it. For now better stay far from the sharp knife!!

These new series of candle holder are from designer Sander Lucas
Baked - Formafantasma, Dutch Design week 2009
Formafantasma is the design studio of Simone Trimarchi and Andrea Farresin.
During the Dutch Design week these Italian designers presented this lovely collection of accessories for the table.
The objects are made by organic materials such as salt, flour, and coffee, basically what you may find in your kitchen. The designers were inspired by the Sicilian tradition to bake forms as celebration items.
